Good afternoon! I'm writing this review to acknowledge the outstanding service I received from Mr. Maurice, Resident Services Representative at Mount Vernon Square Apartment Homes. I contacted the resident services office yesterday regarding an urgent appliance malfunction, and immediately Mr. Maurice arrived. Upon entering my unit, he greeted me with a genuine smile and professional demeanor. He knew what the problem was right away. As if that wasn't enough, he completely resolved the situation within 24 hours, and my kitchen looks the same as before. Mr. Maurice is not only an asset to the team, but also to this entire community. Thank again, Mr. Maurice! Your attention to this matter will not be forgotten. Ms. G

Autumn is a wonderful leasing agent. I was nervous being a first time apartment renter. But Autumn was absolutely amazing! Answering all my questions and keeping me up to date on the whole process from start to finish. If you are considering MVS as a first time renter, I suggest Autumn!! 10/10 I appreciate my first time renting being a great experience because of her! :)

I lived in this apartment community for a little over a year and recently moved last month. Initially, the leasing agent, Tierra, was very kind and made the application and move-in process go very smooth. However, the apartment was overall disappointing. The first month, I had to deal with a roach infestation which was very traumatizing. Although I will say, they were quick and responsive with getting the apartment treated and eventually they were gone. My biggest issue would be the water. Not only was the water pressure really poor in the shower, the water from the sinks would sometimes come out brownish and sometimes was completely off without notice. They were always working on the water, but never advised of any issues. The water was never clear and never looked safe enough to consume. I also believe the shower water irritated my skin, causing a breakout that I had the entire year, that has resolved since leaving last month. As far as maintenance, it would take them at least two visits and a worsening problem to actually fix anything. I once called him about dripping from my water tank, it was dismissed as condensation until my entire carpet was soaking wet. A similar incident happened with my garbage disposal. They also have listed on their website that they have a Business Center as one of their amenities, and they do not have one. They just have a two-storey leasing office with no public wifi or private seating. And the gym is only open during the hours that the leasing office is open, so if you work during normal business hours that is another amenity you can’t utilize but are charged for in the monthly “amenity fee.” Also, the 2600 community itself was a bit too lively at times, so if you work from home, this may not be the ideal place. I think for the same price, you could definitely find a safer, quieter and more updated place to live.

It's been... mixed. It really depends on what you look at. The people in the office tend to be very nice, and the apartment itself has been okay at least. However, we moved in right as the management was switching over to the current group, and after we moved in thins went downhill in a hurry- we ended up finding that the contractor office was moved in near us, so we're constantly bombarded by loud trucks- and had a dumpster full of toilets as our view for several months. The electronic locks on the buildings were removed, to be replaced (we were told) with a new system- over two years ago. There's STILL no lock on the door to keep people out of the building, and as a result our hallway has become a pot-smoking refuge for local teenagers. (The office's claim that the lock project was delayed by covid is, frankly, bunk.) We've lucked out and not had any pest problems in our nearly three years of living here, however we ARE currently displaced as I type this by a major fire in the building next to us- with no idea how long we're going to be paying rent on a home we're not allowed to return to. I can't really blame management for the fire, of course, but it's a frustrating situation for sure. What we DO hold them responsible for is our plumbing, which is atrocious. Water pressure is near-zero and even drops to nothing at all on many occasions (nothing more fun than finding your water is off when you're trying to clean dishes!), and repeated maintenance requests go unanswered- they're apparently content with the situation. This includes a bathroom sink that hasn't drained properly in nearly a year- again, we get the automated e-mail saying our ticket was received, but no one actually comes to do it. Prior management was pretty good about this- if something was wrong, someone was there in a reasonable amount of time to deal with the problem. Now... I see all their maintenance trucks zipping past our window all day, but none of them make a stop with us at least. Suffice to say, we look forward to the end of our lease in September and moving somewhere that hasn't spent the past couple of years stripping amenities, reducing services, and allowing the neighborhood to become a drug flophouse. Again, I don't hold the office responsible for all of it- some things, like this fire, are out of their hands, but enough things have gone poorly over the past couple of years (and rent has gone up enough!) that we're happy to leave Mount Vernon Square behind.

He said that you have to be serious about how many people you put on your residency and that there’s no one who speaks Spanish at the front desk.
Please feel free to reach out to your community office if you have specific questions at 703-765-2500. Thank you!
It was project based when I was there. You'd have to check, some places only a few units, main floor, fill one who left, etc
I couldn't tell you. Why even consider mvs? the only reason we were there is we are lazy. Put in work and find a better place
I call the competent services that deal with these kinds of situations to inform them and ask them to act
