My family and I went there on October 22 for breakfast. The first two ladies we interacted with both were not friendly. Almost like they hated the fact they showed up that morning, even one of my kids mentioned it to me. The food itself was very good and the lady working in the dining area (Milka) was very kind and helpful. She was the bright spot of the staff we interacted with. For the price that we paid for a family breakfast it would have been nice if we didn’t feel like we were annoying the staff by just being there.

Salamander Resort and Spa is close enough to DC for a refreshing day trip. This weekend attended the Middleburg Film Festival and this experience was the best. Three days of viewing films many with Q&A's with the director or cast. As always the atmosphere was welcoming. The service is immaculate. I have visited Salamander Resort for other events or a nearby stay. Each visit gets better. So glad to have this jewel of a getaway so near.
