I never leave reviews, but our living experience here was absolutely terrible! Anyone who is expecting to get their deposit back, good luck! And you will probably have to owe. My husband and I barely lived here a year, and they took all of our deposit and said we owe an additional $400+ in damages! That is completely outrageous! If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. Stay away from this place because they are just looking to take your money! I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Regarding the review by Bunk Bin; thank you so much for all the detailed information and citations. Unfortunately you have confirmed what I feared may happen now that I am moving out. Despite the fact that I have kept my apartment clean and damage-free for the duration of my ~1 year tenancy, based on the behavior of the apartment office staff I am not surprised by the claims in your review. I pride myself on my excellent rental history while occupying properties all over the country, and have never had any issue receiving my full deposit back from property management companies and private owners alike. Damage, sure, I understand of course having an associated fee, but it is clear when a management company is attempting to take advantage of tenants. I was planning on leaving a review of the apartments after I move out anyway, but I think I’ll wait until after I receive (or don’t receive) my deposit back to leave a fair review regarding my experience here in total. Hopefully I’ll be able to come back and edit this post; otherwise I’ll leave another updated one. There used to be an honor system and trust between tenant and owner, unfortunately due to that review by Bunk Bin, I’ll be sure to take detailed photos of the condition in which I leave my apartment upon move out, in the hopes of avoiding any discrepancies or unfair claims/fees. I’m sorry that this other tenant had to deal with such a nightmare of a situation and hopefully it is not the case for others.

I have been a resident here for 5 plus years! I’ve never had one problem, I’ve never had to complain or call the police or argue about a maintenance issue etc…Vanessa and her team have been awesome to me as well as my deaf dog Ray Donovan! To be honest I didn’t plan on living here this long but life happens and I don’t have a problem renewing my lease each year because to me it’s home…I recommend Barclay Village with no worries at all!

We love living at Barclay!! We have lived here since July and have had a wonderful experience. Twylah and Vanessa are so sweet and kind and maintenance is always super quick to fix anything we need. Our unit is cute- we love the vinyl wood flooring and carpeted bedrooms AND most importantly the wood burning fireplace :) Huge living room. Our dishwasher, washer, and dryer all work great!! It's so nice having a huge washer and dryer. The area is super quiet and surrounded by the forest. Very peaceful. Sometimes you can hear hawks and owls, so that's cool. Neighbors are also quiet as well but it probably depends who you live by! The location is perfect. Super close to grocery stores but also very close to hip coffee shops, restaurants, and the charming main street of Oregon City. The river and waterfall are so beautiful.
