Avion at Spectrum Apartments

I have been living at Avion since 2018 so this review is looong overdue! My favorite part of the community are the apartments themselves - I have lived in both a two-bedroom apartment and a one-bedroom apartment here. The apartments are well maintained and very spacious for San Diego - we all know sq. footage is lacking in California. Prior to Avion, I lived in the city for the majority of my early twenties and loved that lifestyle. In fact, I always thought I would make my way back there but what has kept me here for so long are the conveniences you just can't find in city dwelling like included parking there are carports and garages here, gated access, friendly neighbors, and well-lit streets which as a woman is super important to me to live in a place where I can walk my dog day or night without feeling the need to be armed with brass knuckles. The maintenance staff is attentive and friendly, even if they don't have a fix at that moment they always circle back quickly to figure out a solution. The pool is heated which is nice and the huge spa is finally open again after a closure due to CV (which apparently some ppl found controversial for some reason?). Yes, it was a bummer that the amenities were closed for so long last year but, in my opinion, I appreciated that the leasing office actually took the pandemic seriously. In addition to the typical apartment amenities pool, spa, gym, bbqs, etc. Avion added a couple of other little but helpful features over the years like the ParcelPending lockers and new callboxes that you can remotely control with an app. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay here, the neighborhood is amazing (Centrum Park and Park Social just across the street), and still have no plans to move back to downtown! As a side note, I noticed a couple negative reviews about move out cleaning and just want to add that the two cleaning ladies that work here are the nicest women I have ever met - they wave and greet me every time I see them when I go to check my mail and they deserve every penny for their hard work. You will regularly see them cleaning the dumpsters, sidewalks, even picking up after other people's dogs. If you can't afford $100 for these ladies to clean your apartment after you move out then you should prob be looking to rent at a lower price point - just saying lol!

Toured this complex today and Donovan was amazing! He made us feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. He was patient with us while we looked around. The complex was really nice. A lot of parking spaces which was important for us. The 1 bed 1 bath that he showed us was clean and a good size for someone who is looking for their first apartment. I just moved in this week, and I'll update when I move out for a complete experience, but things have been incredible! Hannah was so helpful and responsive, I probably owe her flowers or something for calling so much. The apartment itself is absolutely gorgeous and the community area/pool is really nice with fun acorn chairs. I moved cross country and was worried a bit about safety in a city but the security at Avion has made me feel so much better. Every member of the community I've bumped into has been so kind and welcomed me to the neighborhood. So far, I love it here!

The community is quiet and safe, the complex itself is very inviting and well kept with a lot of grassy areas, trees and is great for pets! I have to give high compliments to Anthony at the leasing office, not only is he professional and extremely helpful but he is very personable and friendly! He shows true care to the people of the complex and whenever an issue needs to be addressed he shows urgency to resolve it.
