Great location in downtown, very friend staff, the bed was big and comfortable. In addition, the TV had YouTube app, which my kid loved. Valet parking is $50/day, you could park elsewhere for $35 if you don’t mind walking 3mins or so. It is a shame they could fit a pool in there. Would stay here again.

Great hotel in a great location! No parking, just valet for $45. To be expected in a DT environment. Indifferent on the experience. Return trip is possible. Staff is exceptional!

We recently spent a few days at this hotel. My husband is a Titanium member and we are frequent travelers, however, this was my first time in Portland. When we arrived at the hotel late at night, there was a young man dressed completely in black and leaning against the building. We thought he was a panhandler and tried to avoid him by going through the other doors, but they were all locked so we had no recourse except to pass him by and go through the only unlocked door. It was at that time that he moved a bit and we could see the word "Security" on his back. As we passed him he didn't say one word to us but passed us by as we all walked into the lobby (he disappeared somewhere into a back room). We asked the desk clerk for an upgrade with a view and he told us those rooms were on the 18th floor. When my husband asked if they (the upgrades) had king beds, which is what we reserved, he said they did not, only doubles, which seemed hard to believe. I asked for a room with a bathtub, he said since the renovation, all of the rooms have tubs. He gave us a room on the 15th floor and he said it had the best views of the city. When we arrived in the room, I immediately looked in the bathroom, there was no bathtub. I turned on a light by the bed and saw a "deodorizer tree" hanging from inside the lampshade. It's the same tree a teenager might hang from the rearview mirror of their first car. I then saw another tree hanging above the room door. Both trees had printed on them "little tree, new car scent". I put 2 and 2 together and surmised these car deodorizers were put in the room to neutralize the smell of pot that undoubtedly often permeates since it is legal in Portland. Our view was nothing to write home about. We looked into vacant office buildings and into someone's apt. below. If it was the best view of the city, I can only imagine what one might see from rooms on the other sides of the building. The room was mostly clean, although it seemed that the floor had not been swept before we arrived. It was otherwise bland and somewhat "cold," not particularly welcoming. The shower had a weak water output so I held off washing my hair thinking I would need more time than I had to get all the shampoo rinsed out. The Marriott lounge was decent but, again, nothing outstanding. The people we met at the front desk were nice.

I enjoyed the way they completely remade this older hotel into a vibey modern hang-out destination. The whole hotels' design induces a relaxed mentality the restaurant on the property did a good job of having an accessible menu at a reasonable price with some delicious tasting food and drink. The location is right in the middle of where you’d want to be within easy walking distance of many of the best restaurants in town. The front desk staff and restaurant personnel I encountered were all top-notch professionals. The rooms were small but nicely appointed and were perfect for me on a business trip. I would definitely stay here again.
