The people at Bird Hut really do care a great deal about their birds and that they go to the home that is right for them. I had had my heart set on adding a Quaker to our family for quite some time and had been on a waiting list. I put a deposit down on a Quaker baby. It was during this process and coming to visit that we discovered that another bird was a better fit for us and our family and we were the right fit for him. I really appreciate that this is not just a place where money talks and people can walk out with a bird if they have the money. What kind of life the bird will have is obviously a very serious concern for Brian and the staff so they expect you to make regular visits to the bird in store to ensure bonding is happening before you can bring your bird home. They definitely put the welfare of the birds ahead of profit. They were honest and upfront about the little quirks our bird has and we’ve been very pleasantly surprised that he gets along so well with us. He’s adjusting to his new home very quickly and really enjoying spending time with us. We are so thrilled to have our beloved Corey home with us and we can’t thank you enough for taking the care that you did to make sure he went to his true family!

Great place to find everything you need for your parrots of all sizes. They have alot of birds available for adoption and many babies available from big to small. They're very knowledgeable and helpful.

I’m sorry bird hut feels uneasy about bad reviews, however what we experienced is real. This is the reason we have never gone back. My daughter Angelica Reveles posted our bad experience with bird hut and was told by the owner that these things didn’t happen. If you go back months you can see my original review when the incident happened. I do have to say it was the woman at the counter that told me they do not do anything about bird dying after a customer walks out the door, neither did she offer anything for the loss. She also mentioned to me that she had bred some parakeets and they would have been ready soon after our incident. Yes, we are now customers of Parrot Cabana. Our reviews are not bad mouthing bird hut, our reviews state the truthful experience we encountered with bird hut. I understand it may be hard to take criticism, however please understand our experience was horrific to us. Thank you for understanding.

The birds are well cared for and the staff have a genuine passion for them. They were helpful and knowledgeable. They want the birds to be well cared for in their new homes and take the time to answer questions and concerns. I knew my bird was well cared for by the staff and the breeder by how trusting she was initially. She’s brave, curious, and has amazed me at how quickly she’s adapted. Thank you Bird Hut for my sweet girl!

Do you have any quaker baby birds for sale
Normal price is between $400 and $600 but you want to call the store for a quote.
The birds they have are constantly changing, so it is probably best to check in person. Prices also vary but are quite fair. Really, one of the best things about this place is going in person to see the four rooms of birds!
i
When they are available to us
We currently have a couple of older rehomes but no babies. We will have some in the future but we’re not sure when yet
Hi, cockatiels cost $150. Thank you

I feel like I've seen them, but if they don't I'm sure they'd help you order one.
We are supposed to get some today or tomorrow. Cockatiels are $300
We are not expecting any Scarlet Macaws
Do you know if you guys will have some soon by any chance?
Great place
All the birds that are for sale will be pretty expensive there(everything is) but they take better care of them and the birds are way friendlier and social then a Petco.,so despite the price being over 100$ prob totally worth it
Yes, but please make sure you know what you are doing and are committed for LIFE if you want to adopt a cockatoo. One of the first things you see in this shop are older birds who have been given up for one reason or another. These birds can live a long time, many longer than you, so be wise when taking on this type of responsibility!
All birds are loud especially when they get excited. You have to go to bird hut to see what he has because it's different all the time. Again all birds are loud for example go there and you'll see.
We have a couple of rehomes at the moment. Thank you

Not that I'm aware though I would call them to make sure. Typically they have finches and parrots, haven't seen doves before
We have no cockatoos at this time, thank you

I don’t understand the question
They have a variety of cockatiels that range in price. They have smaller ones in the couple hundred dollars range to larger cockatiels that can be closer to $1500. They allow you to come in a meet the birds and touch them to see if it is a good fit for you.
We do not have Cockatiels at the moment. We have a waiting list for them, if you want to get on the list call the store and leave your info and you will be notified when we have some available to you. 503-254-3390
We don’t have any lovebirds right now, they sell for $150
Yes, we need advance notice. Call the store and book it at least a couple of days in advance. We won’t clip anything unless you want it
We don’t tame them but once in awhile we get hand fed budgies that are tame, we have some now
Baby Cockatiels cost $199.95. Sometimes older ones sell for less depending on the age, condition and temperament
We don’t have any available now, you’ll have to call the store and get on our wait list and you’ll be notified when any are available
We do not
Hi, No, we have only babies about 3 months old
We rarely get them but check our website or call occasionally because you never know! Thank you
They really have to mesh personalities. They're easier to cohabitate than some bigger birds are, but be prepared to potentially separate them if need be.
They trim beaks and nails of big birds. I dont think it's expensive at all. Dont forget to bring newspaper donations. As you can imagine they go through alot.
Sounds like the scissor beak needs to go to the Avian Medical Center...
The Bird Hut provides those services. I would call them directly for pricing and availability for the fastest answer.
Yes, Call the store for hours. 503-254-3390
Sorry, we do not. Thank you
We don't have any right now but will in a month or so. They cost $2200.00. Thank you
that is a question only Bird Hut can answer for you. i suggest calling and asking the store :)
Avian medical center in Lake Oswego is the best. Both knowledge & costwise
Hi, no diamond doves at this time
Hi, We do not have any Greys at this time. Thank you
Probably not, they could fight over the female and hurt or possibly kill someone.
To add to getting two parakeets... It's usually a good idea to get two males. If you have two females they're likely to fight or be unhappy. If you get a female and a male then you will need to get a cage that is wider than it is tall in case the female starts attacking the male. Two males are more likely to get along and be happy with a little less work. They also sing more than females usually.
You can always call and ask. Very nice staff.
Absolutely! They encourage socializing! Walk around, meet the birds, hang out. They also take various birds out of their cages throughout the day to get some exercise and play time, great opportunity for socializing.
That is a question to ask them personally, need to call The Bird Hut.
We do, English budgies are 79.95
Recommend bulk seed, sunflower or not. Forget name of seed but same brand I sold when I worked at bird store in college. Good quality, nice people.
Yes, you'll have to call them. They are very friendly and helpful. I agree with M M. I have bearded dragons - another long term pet that you are basically married to for the majority of your life. The cost of the parrot isn't the largest expense either. Like a spouse, you have to REALLY love these long-lived pets to make this commitment.
I believe it's $12 or $15 no more, just had my Amazon trimmed up. Great people there!
We have 1 baby Sun Conure left, the price is $500. Thank you
Not at this time. Thank you
Hi, Hand fed Lovebirds cost between $100 and $150 depending on the color. We are currently sold out of Lovebirds. Thank you
Paid 150 for mine
Our baby White Bellies are sold. They sell for $1200.00 ea. We may have more later. We have a couple of older White Bellies for sale. You will have to call the store for ages and prices. Thank you
Yes but I don't know the price
Yes, we have 2 Black Headed & 1 White Belly available. Thank you!
Would never recommend. You could either get something you don't want or get an injured bird. Would suggest meeting a bird and seeing if you connect with it
You will have call the store
Depending on how exotic of a bird you are looking for, the price will vary. You are looking at $40.00 to $2000.00
Hi, We carry Sleek & Sassy seed mixes which we sell in bulk by the pound. You can mix any of them together that you like, lots of our customers do. Thanks!
Their usually cheaper in birdhut. I'm not sure exactly how much cheaper though. Your best bet is to go there and see for yourself.
The only way to find out is to call, they happy to help.
All of their large birds are re-homed, so there probably wouldn’t be any hand fed babies.
Not at this time, thank you
We do not have any right now but are expecting some at the end of April.
They definitely have them
Well, parakeets and budgies are the same thing, IIRC. So, keeping them in the same cage might result in them binding to eachother instead of you. And, if you're really unlucky, you might get a few baby parakeets running around. Bird babies are notoriously hard to care for, so I wouldn't suggest it for people who are inexperienced. To be safe, just keep them in separate cages (ideally in different rooms) to avoid all of that. Good luck!
Hello! I'd suggest calling the store, just to make sure! They get new birds pretty regularly, IIRC. So, if they don't have one now they might in the future! Good luck!
