Been shopping here since the start of the pandemic and have to say I am pleased with the staff and products they recommend(as well as how they back their products). They have a great selection of corals and fish as well, if you are looking for higher end pieces they are a good source. Also the shop will host/organize some cool events from time to time that make it worth the visit for those who aren't quite as local.

I first started keeping fish for a hobby and became an aquarist 70 years ago. Naturally I became excited when I discovered "Cuttlefish and Coral's" in Portland OR, a candy store for fish enthusiast. The store host an extensive and beautiful assortment of Saltwater Reef corals and fish grown or bred in the USA as well as exotic imports that will capture your eyes attention. Store owner, Jeff Slemp and manager Pete along with the entire staff are dedicated to answering your questions. I recently purchased a 91gallon aquarium. The entire staff helped work around my limitations to deliver and install my tank so I can enjoy a piece of relaxing living art in my home. I believe Cuttlefish and Corals is beyond other stores in the Pacific Northwest and suggest that you make it a point to stop by and enjoy all that they offer! Craig Strand

Really is as good as everyone says. Sad their hours are kind of limited. And was a fairly small shop when you go in. And it seems like the staff is running like a 1:1 employee to customer ratio, which can be good, but also can be just slightly irritation when 5 different people ask if you need any help in a 20 minute span. Staff are clearly very knowledgeable, and definitely can't wait to unload some knowledge on you whether you need/want it or not. I appreciate the variety of coral price levels, and I definitely appreciate the emphasis on selling captive bred animals as much as possible.

I wish I'd win the lotto to have a endless shopping spree. Corals and fish selection are grand. The assistance provided is Great, as they are all very courteous and very informational. A thank you to all that assisted my husband and I on Friday morning/noon. If you do saltwater corals or fish this is the place to visit.
