The beer was good (4 stars) but the food was not (1 star). The food is massively overpriced for the quality. We got the sausage platter and a pretzel. The brats were not very hot (slightly warmer than room temperature) and had no flavor or seasoning, and the potatoes were undercooked. As for the pretzel, it had way too much salt to be edible. Luckily once I wiped off most of the salt it was a little better, but there was something wrong with the cheese sauce because it had no cheese flavor at all. It was actually worse than the cheap nacho sauce you get at a sports event—even that has some flavor. Regarding the food, the best thing was the sauerkraut. I wouldn't suggest going here to eat but if you only want a drink then it's perfectly fine. Also a side note: if you sit at the communal tables the large stein is only $6 which is a great deal but wow those seats are really uncomfortable 😣

I expected better than we got. The Jager schnitzel was dry and severely under seasoned. The German potato salad was still crunchy, under cooked, and the sauce was nonexistent. What a disappointment!!

Great food relaxed atmosphere. The food is great if anything too much 😋 great place for a date or chilling with friends. Do not get confused with the location...I think it moved to the other end of the block.

Pretty great experience here last weekend. If you like German beer and/or food, this is a great spot for the Portland area. Gathered with friends at the bar and the bartender, Tim, was very knowledgeable. He remembered the entire order including a flight of 6, appetizers and some pints. He also had great recommendations when necessary.
