The best kept secret in all of San Diego, California. Great QUIET park with picnic areas and numerous walking/hiking trails. Great vantage point from Activity Hill.

Amazing large park with all kinds of great facilities and trails. Multiple playground structures, picnic areas, a basketball court in great condition, beach volleyball court, and trails with look out points and a small suspension bridge. Be aware though, there is free outside parking, but to park inside, there is a $3 fee, which is well worth the facilities and environment.

Huge park with tons of trails. Good for getting the heart rate going since the park is on two distinct levels and getting from one to the other requires going up or downhill. The open spaces at the bottom area of the park are great for picnics, birthday parties, naps on a blanket , even weddings in the gazebo. A duck pond and butterfly garden too!. Plenty of space for everyone so even when it’s busy it’s great. Paid parking inside the parking lot but there is usually free parking on the street. Great place to walk the dog.

Beautiful park. Lovely place to hold birthday parties and events. Lots of parking, many play structures and picnic areas. It's a hidden gem!

I'm not sure about 100% of the sites, but I know they do have on site grills. As for the reservation, you have over a year, I imagine you only need a few months advance to aquire a permit.
You can park inside by paying entrance fee of $3. if you park your car outside, it's accessible all the time and free
