Great hike on a hot day! Very busy but rightly so. Make sure you pay the $5 day-use fee before heading out on the trail. It's about 1.8 from parking to the falls one-way, so 3.6 round trip. Vault toilets are at the trailhead as well.

Beautiful beautiful hiking trail to the falls. It’s recommendable to do it in the mornings before 9AM as it gets quite crowded throughout the day. We arrived at 07:45AM and already met about 20 other hikers there and back. It’s a 3.5 mile (about 5,7km) hike there and back again, so no loop. On the trail you’ll find several beautiful and calming spots by the river where the morning sunlight comes through the trees to dip the forest in magic light. You’ll cross a pretty impressive rock slide area where one can only imagine how heavy these boulders are that broke off the mountain. The falls themselves are amazing and you can get pretty close (and wet) and even take a dip in the water to cool off, if you’d like. Check AllTrails and Komoot for recorded tours to the falls. Both apps have them. Absolutely recommend.

Amazing hike! Stunning views. Poles or good walking stick is very helpful. Most of the hike is pretty easy, but a few treacherous rocky spots to look out for. As of November 28, 2021 there was minimal ice.

Easy hike up a river valley to a great waterfall that ain't that tall. Beautiful fall colors in the first week of October. You can climb up some boulders to get behind the waterfall at your own risk. It is of course very slippery from the waterfall spray but doable if you take it slow and keep a low center of gravity. The mushrooms are starting to come in if you are a fun guy who likes fungi.

Yep the trailhead and bathroom are open. I visited on Oct. 4th. Great hike.
About 1.6 miles to the falls from the trail head and of course about 1.6 miles back.
The waterfall itself seldom (if ever) freezes. The area around it freezes, but the vertical stays liquid.
Not specifically along that trail - but yes, plenty nearby official camp sites.
The slide is still there but there is a clear trail through and another that goes above.
From what I have seen yes they are
