Really good hike. I guess it rates in the hard section. Very rocky, you will be hiking uo to the fall along the river bed, climbing on or around boulders bigger then a car. My six year old had a great time. GPS clocked it at 8miles start to finish. If going with small children just keep an eye on them some parts are a little sketchy when wet. Have a good time. Experienced hikers might rate as moderate to hard. Certainly a great scenic experience.

6 hours hike round trip. At the turnaround point, high boulders between you and a quaint little waterfall. Plenty of shade throughout, except for the entire first mile at the gate. 0 bathrooms. Dogs are OK if they're in good shape, but won't make it over the boulders on their own.

Very hard, very muddy after the rain. But well worth all the efforts when you reach the end!! The waterfall is amazing! This is my 2nd time be there so I’m well equipped with water-proof hiking shoes, long sleeves, sun screen, enough water and most importantly, gloves because you will using your hands grab and climb all sort of things. Be prepared for at least 4.5 hours non-stop exercise!

Amazing and beautiful hiking trail. Started off with a plain looking trail which made me think it was going to be just a boring walk but once we got to the trail that led to the waterfall it was nothing but pure fun and adventure consisting of searching for trails that led the way up, climbing up huge boulders and best of all teamwork if you're with a partner. The waterfall was dried up but the journey there was amazing either way. Will definitely be doing it again. Oh and of you're new at this hiking thing or don't work out much be prepared to be sore for a couple of days afterward. (:

Yes but ur pup needs to be in shape, or be able to lift them, lol. I’ve seen several people have to lift their dogs up and down the boulders. Fire road portion is super easy but once it gets up into the stream and rocks portion… It’s less trail, and more rock hopping your way upstream.
One to four hours depending on your ability ... I think we did it in 90 minutes
The waterfall is still flowing. Go as soon as possible. Watch for poison oak.
Say whut? There should be something still coming out!
One way 2 miles from parking lot. Last 0.5 mile is difficult. Total 4 miles and takes around 4 hrs.
If the kids are little or don't have a lot of stamina I'd say no. There's two ways you can go. You can follow the trials or if you are feeling adventurous you can go through the creek which is a lot of Rock jumping and rock climbing up. I reccomend you go the creek way and if you don't like it the trail is always to the right or left depending how far you made it. Make sure you follow the creek up so you won't get lost. Also take water and snacks and use the restroom before hand. Overall it is a very fun hike and keep in mind there is basically no water right now but still the view of the fall is nice and there's a cave you can climb up into. I reccomend hiking the offtrail way and to go early. In total in took me and my friends about 4 and half hours including our breaks
Yes
Okay thanks! We're only going a short distance and stopping at the tumbling 😉
It is open ... still a nice yet small amount of water
Yes. Was there 4-25-19 and it was flowing.
3.5 miles one way, elevation gain 820ft, highest elev. 1,692ft... watch for poison oak
I've seen big tarantulas on the main trail.
in order to reach the waterfall you need to to advanced bouldering, not many adults can do that, only once in very good physical shape.
