It will be a 3-mile "hike" to get back to the area where the actual hiking begins. At that point, it is well worth the work of watching your footing and climbing over rocks & boulders to get back to the falls. All told, seven miles there & back that took us four hours. We enjoyed our trip greatly!!

GréÒt trail thereβs a lot of sharp hard rocks towards the summit. I reccomend letting some air out of your tires I got a flat and it was a long walk back as I forgot a spare haha πͺπ

Excellent trail that's takes you to a waterfall. Need to straddle through lot of rocks and skiddy terrain to reach it. Finding a free parking trail is very scarce these days and it's well maintained for walking and biking to an extent. There is no water in the waterfall when we went in early January but felt accomplished to reach the end and come back.

I only went up as far as the falls, but it's a beautiful area. The trail starts off as an easy wide dirt road. Not too much shade, so bring dun block. After a couple miles or so there's a turn off for the falls, that's where it gets tricky. The trails are small, and can be hard to see. There's a good deal of climbing over boulders and across rocks, so not ideal for small children. The falls are incredible, and there's a pool at the base for swimming/wading. It's definitely worth the hike.

Yes. Trail is open weeks ago and plenty of parking.
I would say it's advanced. If you're going to the waterfall. It's a little over 7 miles round-trip if you take the creek trail. The last mile has some large bouldering that will require some upper body strength.
I would assume so with the recent rain. The falls are six to eight miles from the parking
Yessss
due to rain, trail will be in bad condition and may close. Trail is currently open (3/16/2020) to hiking and biking as per this link: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/cleveland/alerts-notices/?cid=stelprdb5340229
That's an interesting one. I've been there a couple of times, and I've never seen a sign that will say you can't. The trail is open 24/7, so you might. One thing to consider though, it is mounting lion territory, and maybe staying after dark might not be a good idea. Hope this helps.
Barely a trickle right now
yes
Its open every day
Yes it is
Just following Google map, can see the end of road, and parking side of road. Parking is free.
It was back to normal, parking next to the gate
Yes it's open and the number of hikers are relatively low.
Please refer to the US Forest service website for the trail mentioned in previous response
Nooooo! you cannot unless you want to start another forest fire
Thank you Raul & Tom!
It took me six hours to hike, round trip with my girlfriend. The stream was barely running and the waterfall the same, so its probably longer with full water running. We took breaks often and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
