If you don't have a pass they ticket your car and don't even offer to sale you one. I went pee all of 2 min. And ticket city. I think they fallow at a distance when they see no pass and wait for you to stop.

Once the trail starts it is a great hike with dirt and small pebbles and only a few spots where the soil is loose and may cause slipping. The trail is narrow so you may have to step aside for opposing traffic. There are parts where it is wider and may be used by wheeled vehicles. The parking area is very small and although there are signs requesting no parking outside of marked stalls people still did so. Getting to the parking is a narrow paved road with houses on either side.

Amazing part of orange county that is one of the last vestiges of experiencing the days gone by of dirt roads and pristine wilderness sceneries.

This is an easy entry level offroad trail that any high clearance vehicles can make it to all the way top of the mountain. The trail leads to the Santiago Peak where you can see the scenery of entire area of Orange county and part of Los Angeles. Its a beautiful trail and I enjoyed it!

You can but you need an adventure pass from ranger station or big5. Else you will get cited/towed.
All i saw was a trail, not a campsite. And we came from the Corona side on a dirtbike so yes you can absolutely ride one in from orange county or riverside county
Now, yes! We went last Sunday by car. People were walking as well!:)
