Sandy Lake
Very nice well maintained park that has everything from full hookups to tent camping. Not a lot to do if you’re not fishing and unfortunately they no longer rent boats. Very quiet except for the OHV’s that are now taking over, even at the full service side of the park. They used to be mostly on the boondock locations off site. Nice bar/restaurant called the Wander-in on the South East part of the lake. Had really good food for lunch.

Loved it! Great location, huge parking spots, donkeys everywhere, huge fish, great fishing, general store, park rangers are nice, lots of wildlife, clean place, water was nice. Watch out for cows and burros on the way up!

Recently camped here in a tent for the lunar eclipse. Spot E44 can’t be beat with views, easy access to the shore and space! It was so nice not to be on top of the other campers. The site was clean. The portapotties were not. I had the lake virtually to myself in the late afternoon for a peaceful kayak ride. Lots of birds/water fowl to listen to and behold. The lake is vast and beautiful surrounded by mountains. Not much hiking and no shade of any kind. The wild burrows are so cool to listen to all night. I really enjoyed my stay.

It's a nice little lake, campsites are clean and spaced far enough to where nobody's on top of each other, some campsites have clean bathrooms and showers other sites have port-a-johns, park rangers were nice, respectful and informative, all and all I'd go back again. [Oh and bring your own shade of some sort, you'll be thankful you did]

I believe you can. When you get to the park just check in with the Ranger and he can tell you the rules.
Not sure. I don't think so. You can call there.
Any vehicle can get there from the southern route. Personally I've never driven any other route. I wouldn't even in my 4- wheel drive! That's just me. 😁
Yes as long as they are with u and on leashes. There isn't a lot of grass and stuff. Mostly desert.
Haven't done it but there is a book for off road vehicles. That run would be in it. You can get it at the QIA in Quartzsite or check Parker Chamber of Commerce.
Yes. There are areas where three are no hookups but most of the park has electrical otlets. Have fun.
