Great place to tee off and have some fun. Beautiful setting just next to the ocean. There is a driving range and putting green for beginners as well.

Amazing views of the ocean from the golf course cliffs! Unbeatable weather and conditions are usually good. Rough isn't too bad unless you play right after the PGA rolls through but good luck finding a Tee time! Locals play for a very good rate with the City card. Not the greatest practice facility around but they're working on it.. twilight rounds here are awesome because of the sunset and easy to walk. I try to play after 4pm weekdays during the summer to catch about 13 to 15 holes for cheap. ππ
King Arthur
One of the most incredible public golf courses Iβve ever seen. I can only compare to Chambers Bay. The views of the ocean and the landscape are spectacular. The course was in pretty solid shape. Greens were firm and fast. Itβs not super long and has reachable par 5s. Must play if in San Diego, CA

Great, amazing, legendary golf β³ course. A must stop for golfers ποΈββοΈon bucket list. You will be blown away by Views, landscape and greens.(especially South course). Not easy for scorecards. Highly recommend. Gert Dielli Waterford CT

Local card is the way to go or Military. Also a walking cart is only $10 and the rounds are amazing and looooooong.
Only a San Diego City or visitor rate. No San Diego County rate
English???
$60.00 for locals, about $200.00 everyone else.

Probably find your answer on Google

must live in CITY of San Diego, does NOT include county residents
Yes
Paid 75 but that was a few years ago and i got nice Titleist clubs
You can walk the grounds without playing
Well here is what you could do. First do they have their residence card for San Diego? If so golf will be cheaper for them. Residence golf on the south course is 63 and the north is 53 give or take. If they are not residence of San Diego I would suggest calling TP and getting their prices for non-resident an just buying a visa gift card that would cover their round of golf. Hope this helps and good luck!

It's about 19 miles. Approximately 25 min without traffic.
Call the Torrey Pines Lodge and they will provide you exact accommodations available.
I don't think you can take children there
Green fees are $64.00 for resident and $202.00 for non-resident. Plus cart fees.

Torrey Pines is owned and operated by the City of San Diego.
Torrey Pines is a municipal facility that welcomes the public to the driving range 7 days a week. (Please note the range closes early on Monday afternoons for extended maintenance.) Please take a look here: https://shoptorreypines.com/pages/faqs-1 for more information.
Use the web site for current green fees: https://www.sandiego.gov/park-and-recreation/golf/torreypines

It's always a good idea to call Torrey pines before you go because they could be doing maintenance etc.. anywho here's directly from their website: The range is open to the public from 7 am to approximately 90 minutes before sunset daily, except on Mondays when it it closes for extended maintenance starting at 2:00 pm.
Check at www.torreypines.com/prices
Up to 90 days, see here: https://www.sandiego.gov/park-and-recreation/golf/torreypines/reservations
Don't use the train, it leaves you too far away and you'll have to wait around for a bus to get the rest of the way. Instead take the bus down the Coast Hwy. It lets you off right in front of the golf course and it's way cheaper than the train. The time it takes will probably be less as well. Catch the bus on the Coast Hwy, not at the Poinsettia train station. It's bus # 101. There is a walking path from the Poinsettia train station to the Coast Hwy. Check out the NCTD website for more info. I've taken the bus to and from the golf course at least 25-30 times.

No but the North just did.
The course is so beautiful you probably would like to experience ti score better with clubs you are accustomed to, so bring your own clubs and get your best score and just feel sorry later that you would have scored better had you used your own clubs which you are familiar with. Good luck and have a great day!
I was on vacation to play golf. Maybe the LA Times would know.
Go early and put your name on the list...
North Course is generally considered more scenic. South course is more difficult.
Never done it. Best to give them a call. Plus, do you want to walk or ride? If walk, do you want a pull cart? And do you live in the City of San Diego? Too many possibilities. Give them a call.
Torrey Pines is open to the public but it's kind of pricey, unless you're a resident of the city of San Diego.
Not sure. Wouldn't think it would be very much. It's a public course
I think you can book 30 days in advance if you are out of town. You should you should go to the web site and they should have instructions on booking
