Alcohol detoxing is life-threatening and all hospitals will treat someone detoxing from alcohol in the short-term, it can be a medical emergency and must be treated as so.
Albany Med is the worst. Nope, they do not do detox, they’ll put you in a bed in the hallway and let you scream your head out. If you ask for some meds to ease up the symptoms of withdrawal, the nurses and doctors will tell you you can get tylenol. They don’t care that your pressure is off the charts, or that you’re sweating balls, or that you’re running a fever, they still will not give you anything to help you sleep. Even when you specifically ask for help with getting sleep, they refuse. When you code, they’ll say you never asked for help, because they lie right to your face and when you call them out on it they’ll tell you oh sorry “you misunderstood” that’s not what I meant. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD, DEVIL 😈 BAD. STAY AWAY FROM THERE IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU, NOT ONLY FOR DETOXING. THEY LEAVE STUFF INSIDE OF PEOPLE ALL THE TIME DURING SURGERIES, AND HIDE IT FORM THE PUBLIC, DIG A BIT YOULL FIND THEIR INCONPETENCIES.
Depends what you mean. If you have signs of alcohol poisoning, then yes. If your talking about alcoholism (the addiction) then no.
