Lots of snow. Limited access to the park and most of the Going-to-the-Sun Road will be closed. Going to the Sun Road is the main attraction of the park
Best to ask Google weather is changing so much. I love the snow
Sunny & rainy
I lived in Hungry Horse for a decade, which is just outside the west entrance. In March, nothing in the park is open except The Montana House, a gift shop & art gallery in Apgar Village & the Apgar ranger station is open on weekends. The Going-to-the-sun road is open as far as Lake McDonald lodge complex, at the north end of the lake, & that's only if there hasn't recently been any major snowfall. Most of the park is closed, none of the park services or amenities are open until mid to late May. At this time of year, the only campground on the west side that is open is Apgar campground, & it's in primitive mode - it's moved over to the picnic area in winter, with no running water, outhouses for bathrooms, & if there's a lot of snow, you will have to dig out space for a tent. Most of the motels outside the park are in off-season mode, renting by the week or the month & are likely to be full. Your best bet is to stay at the Motel 6 in south Kalispell if you come by/rent a car.
You will need to check the weather. There is only one main road through Glacier and in it typically isn't fully open until early July. It's call "Road to the "Sun."
Sunny and rainy
