Yes, the west side is mostly shut down, and the going to the sun road is closed from Lake Mcdonald to Logan pass. The east side is largely open but very smokey especially when trying to look in the distance.

Yes. the fires have shut down most of the west side of the park. The road to tge sun is closed. East Glacier is still open but there is lots of smoke in the air. Visibility is down to 1 mile or less as if today.

parm? Over Labor Day weekend the fires took a turn for the worst and they closed down the Going-to-the-Sun Road from West Glacier to Logan pass. I'm not sure if the road is still closed or how bad the fire continues to be, but it was incredibly smokey on the Sunday before Labor Day. The smoke prevents you seeing Glacier in all of its Glory however I had a wonderful time and it was simply an amazing journey through the park.
