Yes the park is open and it's free of charge but the West entrance was the only one open but today...tuesday they are to open the east entrance.
I wouldn't go either most of the park is closed
Definitely check the website but the West entrance is the only place in the park allowed open. Website will list limitations
Only one campground was opened in Yellowstone and no campground were opened in Glacier NP, all restaurants inside GNP were takeout only. And only 14 miles of road opened from Lake Macdonald. I was there till end of June, check the park website for updates.
Its definitely worth the trip. If you do go to avoid the crowds get to the trails first thing in the morning. If you want to rent bikes book them a week in advance.
I wouldn't go. Most of the main spots are inaccessible unless you hike for miles and eve then some are hard to reach. I just went there a week ago and they said it probably wouldn't be ready for awhile. They have a limited amount if spots to go in and when they do there's a count. You would have to wait hours to even have a slight chance to go up. But yellowstone was great if you can make it there instead. The north east trail is loaded with animals at dawn and dusk plus they have the canyon and waterfalls.
