We are thinking about coming to Glacier next Fall; how late into September can we arrive & still see beautiful views but no snow? As Southerners, we don't tolerate cold very well. Which accomodations are preferred, non campers?

Sun road was closed all week late September. We got 8" of snow our last night there Oct 2. Better to go the earliest you can. Consider staying in Whitefish.

We went Nov. 3, 2011. Stayed in Kalispell, it snow every nite a couple inches, gone by 10:00 o'clock. The upper part of the park was closed, but we went back for 5 days. We loved it, almost had the whole park to ourselves. The most Beautiful place on earth...We are planning a trip for this fall, early in September...

Brenda. We pull a 30 ft trailer so we can disconnect and drive around and see the sights. Is there a RV Park in Whitefish that could take our 30 ft trailer?? Thanks! Pete Fallon.

The locals will hate you, they will key your car and slash your tires. Be careful here, it's changed.
