My family once lived in Halestown Tennessee my Grandfather was Oliver Hale but the rumors were our family had 300 acres and it was taken from them

I'm told they were burned out also the place where Records were kept was burned by carpet baggers. Supposedly the town was named after my Family. The Hales immigrated to the United States and im sure it was Native American land because they were here first.

Taken by who? Was ur family native to the land cause i thought that was all native American land
