Mathew Odum, The power station and steam plant are still there and you can explore it if you message the Hales Bar page. The new owner has events and tours. My dad grew up there across the river and I toured the power station and steam plant in October. I have heard lots of stories from my dad.
The old TVA dam is long gone. Some structures remain on either side of the river. Not a safe place to explore. You could inquire at the marina.
