Why does the to go ask customers to select a tip amount when they have no idea what type of service they will recieve, and then do silly stuff like not offer or include ketchup with fries

I cannot understand all these tipping jars and electronic devices encouraging tips either. The argument that they make little money is unacceptable as they accepted the wages offered. Ultimately its an establishments duty to properly compensate an employee as opposed to have customers subsidise wages. Yes some services should be tipped but not every cash register should solicit this, you make a good point and yes catsup should always be offered or included with french fries.

Because we have raised a society of people who expect something for nothing. I do not tip to go orders either. They forget to include ketchup because that's above their pay grade. Remember, people like that want the "fight for 15."
