The trail is marked with paint and flags but you should bring a map and gps.
Extremely well marked trail, possible like any other trail, but unlikely
If you are not familiar with the trail, there's a possibility that you could get lost. The trails are marked fairly well, but there are some water crossings, especially over the little Missouri before you get to the peaks, that are difficult to navigate. I went with two experienced Eagle Rock hikers and they were able to find the way. They did mention that they got lost once or twice on their initial hike. however, the trail is very popular, and if you get lost, I'm sure someone would come along eventually and help you find your way.
Yes you could get lost driving there if you pass it, the road spiders out but if you have a GPS you'll be ok
Yes there are other trails that intersect and some sections are not clearly marked a map will do but I recommend using a GPS.
