Really nice visit today. Lots and lots of deer to see, some very close to the road side. Buffalo were farther away, but still visible. Did see 2 coyotes and that is unusual . Just an interesting afternoon drive for two old retired folks. Love this place.

Fun drive today. Curiosity prompted my drive. Helicopters practicing water pickups and drops. Continued the drive and saw this Big guy. He wasn't about to move for the cars.🥰

Nope, no bikes allowed in the area.
I don't have any data, but consider the history of this place: it manufactured chemical weapons for decades and other less-lethal pesticides for decades more after that. It was a large Superfund cleanup site. I wouldn't eat a thing from those waters.
Deer, Hawks, Eagles, Kestrels, Prairie Dogs, all kinds of other birds and water fowl, Snakes, Lizards, Coyote, all kinds of animals too many to list and it's free.
