Their animals are all rescued or surrendered by their owners. The Majority of them come from abandoned, abused, or neglected by owners or facilities. Usually the USDA or other government agency closes down a place and asks the efrc to take them.
I was just a Visitor. Most are rescued from private individuals that get rid of them when they have gone too large or dangerous, Drug dealers, Meth Heads, Pimps and Confiscated by government enforced regulations. If you like big cats this is the place to visit. You get close enough to animals to touch them, something I wouldn't recommend.
The animals that they have are from people that couldn't take care of them and a lot of them were also abused or neglected by people that should not have had them in the first place. The Exotic Feline Rescues these big cats and cares for them including vet care. I love this place.
According to the people who work there, they only take rescues.
All of these cats are rescues
A lot are rescued.
This is place they keep where take from circus
They're rescued from individuals or organizations that can't take care of them or have been confiscated.
It depends. I believe that in most cases someone reaches out to the center and asks them to take in the feline. Some have come from circuses, the film industry, or even individuals who thought they could raise a feline on their own. Each feline has their own story!
They were abused and neglected animals
