We absolutely love HSCC. All of the staff genuinely care about the dogs in their care! We adopted our hound from them a little over 2 years ago and occasionally are able volunteer (walking and spcializing dogs).

Very kind staff. They will find a suitable family for my Kirby boy.

We had the best experience with our recent adoption. The staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel very prepared to bring home our new puppy. …

We adopted our forever fur baby Jimmy from here, they are a very clean and well run facility. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help you find the perfect pet.

We do not have a specified time frame for "free adoptions" Sometimes local businesses or members of our community sponsor individual dogs or special adoption events. We usually advertise on Facebook as well as our website when this happens
we do not advocate for the "selling" of animals but your local public shelter may take animals surrendered by their owners. Once there, the animal will be evaluated and then put up for adoption, foster or rescue. You may also want to see if there is a guinea pig rescue group in your area, going through a reputable organization will help to ensure that your animal's new home has been properly vetted before they are allowed to adopt
though i realize this is an old post, we get these questions often, although we wish we could contact everyone who submits an application, we aren't always able too, feel free to e-mail the dog's adoption counselor to make sure they have in fact received the application and keep an eye out on Facebook, we usually post a go home pic when each dog is adopted but if another dog comes along that you are interested in, feel free to call or e-mail so that we can change the name on the application or submit another one, hope this helps any potential future adopters ❤
I suggest you go to the website to see what dogs are available. I am only there once a week.

Yes, go up there to talk to someone in the office. They have volunteers. Someone I know walks the dogs to a play area and let's them run around to get them out of their pins for a while.
i realize this was from some months back but if you are still looking to adopt, we are still doing adoptions, just by appointment only, we ask that you submit an application through our website first, so we can have an idea of what you are looking for and then we can call to set up an appointment for you to meet any good matches we might have available
i realize this is an older post but we are currently hiring and are in fact a no kill rescue, we have a link on our website to our application for hire
$30 a night call for reservations
Dog adoption fees $75
Go to their website!
i know this question was posted a couple years back but in case anyone else needs the info, our facility only has accommodations for dogs but many public shelters and cat rescues in our area have kittens available for adoption
i know this question was posted years ago but for anyone else checking, our website has pics of all available dogs and we also regularly post pics on Facebook
