Beautiful shelter and amazing staff! About two weeks ago my fiancé and I were lucky to take “dream” (now mama) home! We absolutely adore her and cannot wait to give her the life she deserves.💖 I believe Alexander helped us while we were at the shelter and he was awesome!

We adopted a 3 month old puppy (our first dog!) and felt well prepared to handle the chaos and surprises that come with a young pup. The staff were honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable! They answered all our questions and gave us helpful material. We highly recommend adopting from the Milwaukee Humane Society!

Kay, my adoption counselor, was very helpful. They were super eager to introduce me to dogs I was interested in. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. I had an immediate bond with Roxy and I’m so glad I got to take her home!! She’s snuggled up by my legs as I write this :) Great service, glad this pup could find her forever home with me ❤️

Yes
Are you giving her away?
Yes they have discount clinic day's also. Look them up online!
Is it still available
Yes. The Humane Society will take injured animals, and like Amanda said, they'll give you a number or website to be able to check in on the wildlife you brought in
Yes
I could provide a forever home. Please write back.
Not me personally but they do have rabbits as well as other small animals
They don't declaw cats anymore, they consider that cruelty now. But some older cats may come in declawed.
Sorry don't know of that cat, I got mine about 3 weeks ago
I want the chow
Are you still looking?
The Milwaukee Humane Society is still taking surrenders. You can call their main phone number to schedule a drop-off.
Thank you I have spoken with maddac and now his there care.
Yes you certainly can. Call and make an appointment.
It's on their website... Dog that has sat awhile an hasn't been adopted
Hi Marie, the only way that an animal leaves the humane society is if they are adopted so when it comes to benchwarmers it is always best to adopt them as soon as you see them on the website however, your benchwarmer could possibly be there until Sunday but you have to go before they open and wait so that you could be the first person but I also want to let you know that it depends on the breed of the dog as well because some people hurry to adopt most benchwarmers because of there breed or mix. I hope I have answered your question. Good luck k hope your fur baby is still there on sunday
Each dog had an adoption fee. They are listed on their website. The "benchwarmers" are all reduced to $50.
Yes, they have small animals for Adoption. See their website.
I'm interested
You could also start your own diy animal outreach project in cooperation with WHS if you can't work there
Yes. I have seen pit bulls there before.
I believe they do but you should take any unwanted animals to Madac
You have to call and ask, they do a cheap/free clinic twice a month when it becomes available.
Get scratchers that hang from the door and the ones that you can stick on your wall.
WHS does not have vet care for owned animals. They do offer low cost vaccines for dogs and cats but no emergency vet care.
Wi Humane Society does rehoming of dogs.
Recommend contact a veterinary clinic and ask about your pet's specific vaccination schedule/timeline

Yes with your debit card
Still have ?
Call the humane society. They will provide those services.
I believe you can take them back there was a packet that they gave you when you got the dog go thru them an see if there info you need..so sorry it didn't work out for you
You're asking questions about the humane society I think you want to ask questions directed to the humane society..?
I would Google it
They are included, also spay or neuter
Not at the moment
They don't have a clinic...they have vets that take care of surrendered or up for adoption animals...and I believe they send the dogs/cats/etc to the clinic on National and Lincoln to be fixed!
Unsure. Best to call
best bet is the Milwaukee aspca
They must stay another six hours, and then have breakfast. Seriously: Based upon lengths of stay and costs of adoption, I suspect they get reduced for clearance, so to speak. Some of the dogs that have been there for weeks were priced at only $25. They also get relocated from different cities and states. There's some type of Cooperative Exchange program with other Humane Societies were they trade pets. Best answer: Call and ask. Now that you've got me curious, I will.
You have directed your question to the public. You should call them directly. Since you've asked, I believe the answer is "yes." Again, however, call them directly. They're open 7 days a week.
I believe they do. If they are city/barn cats/kittens
What breed
Lesli thank you fir your response however i already a Ms. frenchie my cat. One is enough right now.
All available pets are listed on their website, and most typically have photos! 💙
No, you don't. You can just drop him off any time during open hours.
Yes. Only 1 years old and up are pay what you can if anything for cats
I think you can adopt from outside the county. There are like only 4 of them throughout the state and I can't imagine that means all other counties can't adopt.
If you can't keep the dog, you are able to surrender the dog for a small fee.
There is pet insurance, but it's separate from your health insurance.
Not if they're around. Unless you are bothering them in their nests...there is no issue.
You can surrender any animal. Someone who can handle the expense might be a better option! & It may make you feel better too.
Open.
The police
No sure call the human society, that way you know from the source. Have a awesome day;)
Sorry can't read Spanish
You will have to call the Humane Society direct
So sad to hear about your dilemma. You can surrender your pet for free at the Wisconsin Humane Society
So if you are looking for someone to adopt your cat you can call the Human Society and set up an appointment with them and they will help you.
They have all kinds of dogs. They don't do breed categories because, hey! You never know!
I think that the humane society is a great place my brother volunteers there I called them for a possum freezing in the snow and people just staired at it recently I called for a baby sequel and they came right out . How ever they are volunteers and they do need support so donate
Depends if it is not injured they'll tell you to put it back where you found it
That is the best thing to do,report them to law enforcement so they can take immediate action and confiscate the poor dog for his/her safety!
They're partnered with a company that fosters animals so gi e them a call an explain the situation
If that information wasn't on your paperwork. Then it isn't available!
Humane society does it and my guess is they're probably cheaper. I would call them. 🤗
Did you check with Maadac/animal control.
They will gladly take them and find homes
I'm not sure I think you should just come and visit the shelter and you should go and see them and put your request to. -see them and fill out application. I hope that helps you out.
No. You can just visit the animals.
Call them and they will direct you on how to surrender it. This is a Google page they don't check it.
Never called I walked in. Maadac the answer right away and will come get the pet.
OR if you are looking for another one. (They have friendly helpers.)
Call MADACC
Call them or call maddac
Their website is usually accurate on what animals are available.
As long as he's well-tempered they won't put him down they'll find a place for him but if he's aggressive they will put him down plus you can always have them to let you know if they got to put him down if they do you can always come back and get him before they put him down but you got a request that you want to know
It will tell you on their sheet if they're not good with children of a certain age or other pets.
Depends o. Age of the big we just adopted a 6month old puppy a it was 300
How much is it to get a puppy fixed and I'm on disability at Wisconsin Humane Society
You can also set up a vertual rehoming where you can actually meet the people who you give your dog to.
Just look on the web site. Also look on the vertual rehoming.I saw a few Shepard's on there.
I think it's different, just call or check the website.
Not sure. You need to call them but i dont think you get the ashes back.
The website automatically updates as animals are adopted. So if he/she is still in the website then they're still available for adoption.
How old is she? Has she been with a dog?
Yes, in fact we've adopted our second cockatiel there. Also, there's a bird rescue place in Waukesha that you can adopted as well.
I would like to know if you found a resolution to ypur husky/lab dilemma ? I'm interested in apopting such. Please reply. Thanks, laura
Depends on age & personality. I bought my new re-homed pit there. Hope that helps
I have a pitt and rent in Milwaukee wisconsin with no problem
Leave the garage door open and give it a chance to run out because that's probably all it wants to do.
Yes there is an adoption fee (depending on the animal you like prices range) however for example Dexter my pup was fixed, up to date on shots/ vaccines, and microchipped, plus the money helps towards the entire shelter's needs to treat and care for all the animals there. It is an amazing way to help support rescues. At the time we adopted Dexter he was just under $300 at 3 months old.
Don't remember look on their website
Is she still available?
Call them
If you are the owner make an appointment at the Humane Society to surrender him. We will find him a good home.
It depends! They take in animals as they are given up, so sometimes they do. You can visit their website to see what animals they have currently.
Anxiety...chewing...see your vet
Call the shelter you want get open hours most will take carriers
It is never a set number You need to check the website. It is updated every 30 minutes. Good luck.
We absolutely will give you one for $8. If you adopt a cat over 1 year they are free but we ask for a donation. Kittens are priced differently. Keep on adopting Please!!!
Well by checking this place out. Check the website for any dogs they may have. Depending on the age might be free but donations are always welcomed.
Dogs range from $25.00 - $449.00 (straight from their website). Puppies would be in the higher range.
Stop by and bring whatever you want to donate. Shelters can always use old towels and blankets as well as regular pet supplies. Grab your stuff, go in the front entrance, and into the door straight ahead on the right. Ask the person behind the counter what they want you to leave with them. They also accept monetary donations. You can call or donate on their website. They can get food cheaper in bulk so it makes more sense to donate money rather than going and buying food specifically to donate. However, if you have food already that you don't need, they will accept that donation.
They have volunteers that take care of the animals everyday including holidays. They are humane people who love animals and will not abandon them.
If you have bags of food that are already open, you can donate those to the wildlife center at WHS - go to the right when you walk in the front doors! They are often able to use with the wildlife that they take care of.
Call MADDAC
They have many dogs available. I would recommend going on their website to see who is currently available for adoption.
No one from this business is going to contact you. Their website is updated right away. Check there. 😊
From time to time, yes they will, but don't count on it. Visit often until you find a hypo allergenic animal.
I volunteer there and they have birds. Call, first if you can
You can go on their website and look for the classes, I believe the cost for Adult Manners is $130 if the dog was rescued from the Humane Society and $150 if they were not.
Hi Debra, I have 2 parakeets for rehoming.10 weeks old.I will also give the cage, food, toys. They need a forever home. thank you Mary Ellen
Call the humane society. They will take information about your pet over the phone, then send you information via email. When they have a space for your pet they will call and give you an appointment to bring your pet in to be placed for adoption. Took about 10-12 days from first call to surrendering my pet.
You mean the Halloween Howl and its October 29th
Not that i have ever seen, better off going to the pet stores and buying a does and tick feel, or hard collar. Not sure if they even sell any kind of pill form for fleas.
if you are still looking i have a 2 year old male, black cat. i am 7 months pregnant and this will be our 3rd child. we really just dont have time to give him the attention he needs... if your interested let me know
Yes, check their website for hours.
WHS runs a spay/neuter clinic at 9400 W. Lincoln Ave, West Allis, WI 53227 that can provide this service. Current costs (as of January 2019) are: Dog Spay/Neuter: 2-99lbs - $110 100-125 lbs = $155 126-150 lbs = $205 Includes pre-surgical exam, spay/neuter, pain medication, and complimentary nail trim. Cat Spay/Neuter - $75: Includes pre-surgical exam, spay/neuter, pain medication, complimentary nail trim.
If a dog was on the website and now no longer is, that likely means they were adopted (unless the animal needed a medical or behavioral recheck for some reason). The website is updated in real time so is a good source to know if the animal is still available.
On the southside of Milwaukee the Milwaukee Humane Society has a Spay and Neuter Clinic it is very reasonable you might want to check them out
