Don’t put a credit card on file. They charged me after my stay and noone will tell me why or give me a refund. Run away from the place.
The credit card is usually used for the security aspect of your stay. If there's any damages found later to your room caused by you or your guest they'd take it from your credit card. No laws or rules are written in stone, in other words speak with management to see if they could work out a deal with you using cash or debit card for security in booking your night stay.

No it has to be on a card at first then they will put it back after so many days or something to that effect
