Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia Airport, an IHG Hotel

We chose this hotel because it is walking distance from the Lazaretto Room, a beautiful local banquet facility where we had to attend an event. This hotel is digusting. Rats everywhere outside and 'rodent boxes' near the broken fenced area at the river. Holiday Inn should be ashamed to put its name on this property. For the prices charged here, it should be completely renovated and a more professional staff put in place. The rooms were so dirty and smelled heavily, musty. Homeless people and obvious drug users appeared to be living in the front seating areas outside of the hotel. As if it were even possible, an even dirtier and more disgusting hotel is next door, with many drug users wandering the balconies all night. We did not feel safe sitting in the back overlooking the river. Our legs were itchy and we could see sand fleas in the room. Holiday Inn. Get it together. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Waste of time!! It’s not worth saving a couple of dollars on parking for the awful customer service. The shuttle was TERRIBLE! They crammed us like sardines, the driver huffed and puffed the entire time as if the people were an inconvenience. Then drove like a maniac. No air conditioning in the van and when I complained that I had no air flow he said it was cold. It’s July and we have a van full of people. I would NEVER park there!!!

Carpets had boot stains, fridge made a rattling noise all night, and everything looked damaged/worn. The motel next door - whose occupants could see directly into my window - was sketchy at best. Thanks American Airlines for providing a great place to sleep after a cancelled flight. /s

Very close to the airport. Free shuttles are offered to the airport but needed to ask at check in when they typically arrive. Check in was relatively painless but the attendant was unenthusiastic and appeared annoyed to be asked any questions. Paid parking is an option for the week we went on vacation which is a plus for this hotel. However, parking lot is open to the public, is uncovered, unguarded, and underwhelming. Our room had no tv remote, our toilet was flushing every ten minutes, and the room generally appeared outdated and untidy. I don’t expect much from a hotel of this caliber but still it left something to be desired.
