I agree with Rebecca and Donavon that it is tectonic cave. Also it is the largest tectonic cave in PA The name is given because throughout the main passageways, strong wind enters into cave thus making temperature very cold inside. It is the coldest cave among other caves in Pennsylvania

I think it's just the nickname. It's a tectonic cave. Growing up we called it the pequea caves.

It is a natural formed cave, by weather instead of water. Wikipedia has more specific and detailed information.
