Beautiful area with a short steep hike to the mouth of the cave. The cool air is a welcome relief from the summer heat.

Loved it here. Parked at the nature preserve and hiked down to the cave. Some areas were steep with loose rocks on the path. The cave was very cool but about 40 to 60 ft in there is a steep drop so you have to be very careful. BRING A FLASHLIGHT! It's about 20 degrees cooler going into the cave just 5 feet in you can feel the difference.

Best non tour guide cave i've been to. Lots of different passages and arrows painted on the walls to let you know where to go to get out! Not for the faint of heart!! Lots of climbing and crawling throught tight areas.

We stumbled upon this place while hiking the trails of House Rock Nature Preserve and Outlook.. 5he rock outcroppings are nice but we did not go into the cave due to having dogs with us and plenty of people hanging about blocking the entrance.

I went with boy scouts and my dad is the same build. He was able to go just as far as most. The only hard part was the alternate entrances. Otherwise you should be fine

I agree with Rebecca and Donavon that it is tectonic cave. Also it is the largest tectonic cave in PA The name is given because throughout the main passageways, strong wind enters into cave thus making temperature very cold inside. It is the coldest cave among other caves in Pennsylvania
