Well kept walking trail with breathtaking views of the susquehanna River. If you get there early enough there are some high chances of spotting a bald eagle or two. Our dogs love it here.

The new Trestle Bridge opened a day before I rode in this trail. With it being so close and said to be the third highest trestle bridge in the US, I had to ride on the trail again. The bridge opened up a 17+ mile ride. Once the burn down bridge in martic township is rebuilt it will open up at least 10 more miles.

Overrated. The one thing the Turkey Hill Trail has in its favor is that you are afforded more frequent views of the Susquehanna River (especially in winter before the foliage arrives) than some of the trails that lead to the Pinnacle Overlook further south. However, this trail is compromised by the fact that it also runs along the perimeter of a landfill for a good stretch. In my opinion, the best portion is not the Overlook area, but after you pass the landfill and start descending. The Pawpaw Trail branches off for about half a mile and runs alongside a creek and is a nice side route, though with either option you do have to cross the creek at some point to continue on towards the Chestnut Grove Preserve. If you only have time for one hike in the area, stick to Kelly’s Run or Tucquan Glen in the Pinnacle Overlook area.

First time hiker and this was a big hike. Mostly uphill which means all down on the way back. Poles highly recommended as the trail is uneven and close to edge. Confusing trail we attempted to find the connection to the Enola trail with no luck. We made it out to the waterfall and decided to turn back. The waterfall is past the 3.5 miler marker which means we did a solid 8 miles round trip in 3 hours. Except so challenging spots unless your a routinely active person as I am not.

It depends on how quickly you hike. For an average hiker it should take you 20-30 minutes. Coming down, as you are going downhill, it's much faster.
