Looking at the website, it says tent camping, but all indication says this is a campground for RV and trailers. Is this an appropriate place for a family to go tent camping? Is there a certain part of the park that I should be focused on? Thank you!

When you go into the camping area the section to the left has many sights appropriate for tent camping. They may still have electrical hookup unless you want primitive camping which is down the trail at the end of this section. There is also a backpack camp area out Pike Run Trail. The section to the right in the camping area has the big pull throughs for RVs although I have seen tents on some sites also.

Absolutely family friendly! And tents are welcome anywhere in the park. Enjoy!

Yes, you can tent camp anywhere in the park.

I saw tents mixed in with the RVs. I camped with just a hammock. The park staff was very helpful in finding an appropriate spot for me.
