Cougars and bears walk through the park occasionally, so be aware of your surroundings, make noise and hike with a friend! Also, the river is fast and cold so please take extra precautions when going in the water. We always recommend wearing a life jacket.

Currently they have signs posted regarding bear activity in the park. Noticed trail cams I assume are to confirm. Be careful of some slick trails and the waters edge as the water is moving faster with recent rainfall and it's very cold from glacial run off.

I have seen deer there, but they seemed to not even pay any mind to me driving right by them while they ate. Just make sure to mind the wild life.

Oxbow park is a very nice place to go. For camping, fishing or hiking. I've been going there for over 20 years. The only thing is no pets allowed. A d its 5.00 dollars to get in the park . It is a real beautiful place to go.. Have a good time.

Water is swift so be careful if you're swimming or wading, but that's about it.
