It is not really wheelchair accessible, because there are some parts where it may be difficult to either fit a wheelchair/difficult to push it through the main building. And as for the hours for Sunday in March, it is open from 930 AM to 530 PM.
Open in March I'm unclear of. ( go to the web site ) but for the most part it is accessible. The front steps and famous back steps are not, but if I recall correctly, there is a side ramp. The grounds are mostly accessible, but some of the out buildings have a step or two to them. Not many though as I recall. The web site should give you the info you need, and call ahead to see that they have an accessible shuttle bus. It's a long walk up & down a fairly steep hill.
We are open on Sundays in March, and tours of the house are wheelchair accessible. More information about accessibility is at www.monticello.org/visit/tips-for-visiting/accessibility-2/ And our hours are available at www.monticello.org/hours
There were two wheel chairs in our tour group
Yes, open in March. Only part of the facility is fully accessible. Contact them directly about special needs accomodation.
