No. The cave has a greenish hue from algae but that's it. Very beautiful though. And yes, very cold
No it has an emerald color due to algae that forms in that climate, in and around the ice. I believe that the owners said because of different lighting sometimes it may appear different at times. Very beautiful. I also remember seeing horse/mule, hoof and sled drag prints on top of the ice from the perch, that were preserved from the time that ice was harvested from the cave, but that is not done anymore. I hope this helps, From the author of 'The Reckoning of Rance
No. However, the cave can appear to have slightly different colors during different seasons depending on how much and what types of algae (often arctic algae) have grown on the ice and been frozen in ice layers. Usually there is a bright green color on the ice with some orange algae on the rocks (along with the black and white of the lava), but the layers without algae can even appear white or slightly purple at times due to the light and the clear layers of ice.
No the ice cave doesn't change colors but it is very cold!
