We were in the water and on the trials didn't see snakes, 2 weeks in August

Yes, there are copperheads, rattle snakes, water cotton mouths ( all VENOMOUS), king snakes, garter snakes and a couple of other non-venomous snakes. Just us caution when out hiking, or walking around, especially in are where leaves have built up. It at possible consider wearing boots when walking/ hiking in the woods. I sincerely hope this helps.
