We traveled on 6/21/22 for a 3 night stay using our Elite Connections membership. Check in was easy online and we were assigned site C26. This site was not prepared for our visit with 2 foot high weeds, and no table. We contacted the office and got a table delivered. The location of this site was in the midst of the area where construction gravel, full time sites, and lots of long term residents. This didn't make us feel like the lake, trees, and woodsy feel that you'd expect. The hilly, sloped set up is VERY tight and we had a tight turn in our 20 foot trailer. IF YOU ARE IN A BIG RIG, beware! Don't stray past the A section. We liked the pool for swimming. This area was clean and well kept. The lake access for swimmers was down a very small step by the dock. We used it for swimming and launched kayaks from there. Truly, a swimmers beach would have been easier. We will not visit this campground again, we'd rather pay the fee to stay at a Corps of Engineer park with prettier lake side sites, and better access to the lake. Truly, if you were handicapped, you couldn't swim here. It's set up for docks and boating.

Nice place to stay, rented a cabin. Cabin is dated, could use some upgrades. It was clean, but shower got water all over and ceiling fan was super noisy. Campground was quiet, though there are longterm guests there as well.

Friendly staff, clean pool, clean restrooms, adequate laundry facilities. Beautiful lake. Now the cons. Very very tight campsites to get in and out of. I had a pull thru site but had to back out due to tight spot and very narrow roads. We were lucky to be in “A” section with the hills being more manageable however with the narrow roads it was still difficult to maneuver. Other sections were extremely hilly. So much that even our electric bikes couldn’t make it up the hill. Poor water pressure. Possibly due to another water break. We found out by our neighbor just pulling in that they were turning off the water the next day to repair a line. Good thing he told me because we weren’t notified. Was contacted by text on how everything was going. I mentioned that the weeds were getting high around our site. Nothing was done to remedy it. Due to the narrow roads and tight spots we will not be back. Even when leaving, I barely cleared their narrow exit gate.

This is one of the largest campgrounds in the south east. The scenery is very picturesque. This is an actual campground in the forest. This is a camper campground. Once you set up you RV it is a wonderful place to visit. It has all the amenities that you can ask for. There’s a swimming pool, basketball court, lake, golf course, trails and more. There are also activities run for families to engage in. The staff is very friendly and alert you to anything happening in the campground. Carolina Landing is part of the Thousand Trails family.
