Rogers park is free you just pay to park. To launch kayaks is differnt. If you want to rent kayaks you can from boating in florida , they are located behind the weeki wachee springs park.

The $5 for parking is worth it, however, it fills up very early because the county hasn't expanded the parking to accomodate the added tourism in the area. I would recomend arriving by 10am if you want to park. Also, why don't we have a park and ride bus system to Pine Island and Roger's park from US 19? There are dozens of answers to the parking situation.
