It’s pretty. It’s small and quiet, I’ve taken my two small children there to play and have a great time in the sand, water, and playground. And also been with my husband to watch the sunset for a romantic quiet evening. Great for both. Parking free week days, $5 on weekends. Palm trees so it’s tropical but also still gives you a rural central Florida feel.

1) we've never been to Florida. 2) you would think native Arizonans would know to use sunscreen haha This is a fun, off the beaten path beach. Definitely one of those beaches that the locals are familiar with, and us tourists need to respect. The seagulls and sand pipers were all over the place and fun to watch. There was plenty of space to have your towels laid out and lounge without worrying about passers-by kicking up sand near you. There is a small kids park which is nice, because the whole lot is so small, you could be on the beach and your kid(s) at the park and not need to worry about not having an eye on them. There is a cute little food shack/Cafe. Only downside is they take cash only. We went shelling, and warning! Watch out for the barnacles cuz OUCH! Husband got a nice long gash on the bottom of his foot while shelling with our daughter. There is the most adorable marine life if you just take the time to look! The sand was soft, the water cool. It was a quiet beach, even with kiddos and families. I loved seeing the stilted homes. Definitely worth the little drive for us tourists.

I love going to this beach with my family! Even when it's at full capacity, it's not close to crowded. It has a park that my daughter enjoys and always makes new friends at, a volleyball area, BBQ areas with tables, and a place you could buy food and drinks at. Stay for the sunsets, which make for gorgeous pictures.

Situationed on the tip of a peninsula surrounded mostly by coastal estaury preserves, this is the perfect place to watch the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico! There are also lots of amenities the entire family can enjoy; a playground, picnic pavilions, changing area, bathrooms and some vending establishments. The wide beach area is very well maintained and spacious dotted with beautiful palm trees.
