I want to hike along the Appalachian trail for a couple days, but I don't know any good sections of the trail for scenic mountain views. And can you go camping along the AT?

Go to visitor's center and get the trail map, its about $9.00 it gives you much more detail than any of the other maps we used including some of the on line apps for natural parks. Yes you can see the mountains.yes you can also camp.

You need a backcountry permit to camp along the AT. I believe it is free. There are structures along the way. You can also camp anywhere that cannot be seen from the AT. You must pack everything out. Leave it as if you were never there. No campfires in the backcountry allowed. Hope this helps.
