Yes it's still in business. I would call and ask about the plane watching, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem from inside the building. They held the 82nd airborne jump a couple years ago, and there's other events like that sometimes!
It sure is! They just extended there runway to 6000 ft. Very nice terminal, big glass windows to view runway and airport operations. Very friendly staff. Flew in to visit my daughter 09/17/22, departed 09/23/22 Accessible off of crazy I 95.
Aircraft operations may be viewed from the public pavilion on the southeast side of the terminal building. There are picnic tables provided for family seating and a kid-sized runway to explore. These were provided by a non-profit corporation to promote youth in aviation.
