The city dock is a good place for fishing or launching boats, and has plenty of parking. Following the river downstream you will find many small alcoves available for you to set up chairs for a more private fishing session. In summer they have kayaks for rent at the dock

The parking lot and general "park" area are open. However, the boat ramps are closed until further notice due to the flooding.

The fish are biting and the dock is naturally packed. However, fishing up stream is much better. Very massive ones
Normally if there is water and woods there are snakes. Just don't bother them.
There is no beach. Just docks. Its very clean. People go there to walk and fish
It's public parking at the dock area. There is also a paid parking garage on Sophia.
