Got a phone call and now a letter in the mail from this company, saying we owe AT&T $57.00 (for our DirecTV service). Called DirecTV and they said we are not behind on our payment, we are actually ahead. Why are they contacting us?

The Reason it would say and look like your NOT behind is because they Transferred out the Account so it wouldn't show A Bill because now it's in Collections and being Collected from the Collection Company!

Sunrise Credit buys delinquent accounts from businesses. If they tell you who the account was with (say AT&T) and you call that business, they will tell you that account is cleared. It's because they sold the debt to Sunrise.
