My daughters father is not helping take care of her in anyway, and he is on SSI. And he has told me technically he don't have to do or give me a damn thing for her I know that child support won't go after him but I was told I could draw something for her

Child support will go after him if you file against him. I went through this before. If they are awaiting ssi you will more than likely not get anything because they don't have a job or the steady income yet. if they finalize their decision before the income its over. But if they have an income they are responsible and you can file for child support. I don't know if what I said is how the whole process is supposed to happen, but I watched it all unfold like that and I suggest you file against him.
