If you have a copy of the DNA test you can petition the court to have the father removed. That order is then submitted to vital statistics main office. Once processed you can obtain the new birth certificate, but don't forget to go to the social security office to have him removed from record as the father as well otherwise he can still claim the child. When you go to the ss office they require the new birth cert, DNA results, and take a copy of the judge order just in case too. Hope this helps
