Yes, but the temple is not really a place to eat. There is a small cafeteria for people attending the temple, but not really a date kind of place to eat. You could bring a picnic and sit outside by the visitor's center in the garden lawn area, though not really at night during Christmas as there are a lot of people. There are however, free music concerts in December at 7pm so your date could be a concert and the lights.
Yes. Patty Hales gave the best answer. I agree with her answer 100%. The temple is now under renovation and is to open spring of 2020. Rumor says there won't be a cafeteria, but just a break room for the workers. But, that's ok, because the grounds were and will be such a beautiful and peaceful place to have a picnic or just to walk around. Also, opening in 2020, there will be an amazing interactive Discovery Center that will be open to the public and free of charge. I'm glad you are thinking about your wife and going out on regular dates to keep your marriage healthy.
Yes. Typically the cafeteria there is for the convenience of the temple workers.
You need an appoiintment.
They do have a cafeteria inside but you would have to call the temple to find out the hours that it is open. And since it is inside, yes, you would have to have a temple recommend. Look in Dex for Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Mesa Arizona Temple to get the number
You're welcome to spend time on the Temple grounds and go to the visitor's center without a recommend
Yes.
Yes, otherwise you cannot go in.
Please call the front desk with any questions.
Are you saying eat inside the temple or on the temple grounds? If you want to eat inside you aren't even allowed to do that but if you're just going on the temple grounds you don't need a temple recommend for that. But it will be busy this time of the year.
Yes, you do, however, you could always do dinner first and enjoy the visitors center and grounds after. :)
Yes you do.
