Is this a safe community?

I would say it is. We lived there for a year and had no security issues. Management hired security to make rounds at night to safeguard again potential car theft too. The community is gated, except when the gate doesn't work, which was the case for about three months before it got resolved.

I have lived her a year and had no incidents. Neighbors are all nice and respectful
