The answer depends... You need to prove you are a legal resident of Texas, your identity, age, address, and show a social security card most of the time. Parents or legal guardians need to go with you or it will be more difficult. Go to: www.dps.texas.gov/DriversLicense/applyforID.htm for details and a list of documents needed.
